Sometimes overthinking and drowning in everything is the most self destructive thing you can do. Be upset, be sad, go cry, then get up, dust yourself off, take a step back, and go do something you won’t normally do. Do something that normally makes you feel guilty. Something minor. Like eating heart attack food. Or drawing on the wall with a pencil. Or showering with your clothes on. Or prank calling the person you hate. Dance naked. Drink straight from the milk carton. Watch the most mind numbing, braincell destroying show you can find. Just don’t sleep around or shave all your hair off. Actually, go ahead, shave all your hair off; it’ll grow back anyway.
But let it go tonight. Let it all go. Tomorrow is a new day. I promise you.
