I am dying from excitement right now. (No, I really am. Ask Nick and Alex who I’m currently freaking out to atm)

BUT!

My goal, in the long run, is to join Engineers Without Borders (be a part of their organizing committee, etc etc) alongside trying to build a stable career for myself, and do something in other places other than on the national scale. But it’ll take a bit more time for me to actually become a practicing engineer… 

TODAY HOWEVER, I found out that my friend volunteered for it as a helper through my university. Based on his skills, they ended up sending him off to Peru. They paid for everything and he gained pretty valuable experience, and helped out with a project. He told me that they send people off to other places such as Nigeria, Ghana, etc etc, and he loved it.

SOOOOOOO. I’m so going to do that. And I am dying so much right now. Insert girl squealing.
