So here’s the thing, and this’ll be the last thing for tonight:

Happiness is never a destination. Happiness consists of all the little moments in life. The one text you get from that someone, the stranger who smiled back at you, the giggle of your younger sister, a quick glimpse of pride from your dad, a large snowflake landing on your nose and making you make a funny face, your favourite song playing on the radio, getting the right answer on your test, the taste of a well baked dessert, and so on…

These are the little things that add up to this ‘happiness’ we all seem to be seeking.

I’m not quite sure what the point of this is. It’s 2:30 AM, I am nowhere near done my project, and it’s due tomorrow at 3 PM and yet I am sitting here. Happy. Because I like what I’m doing. And it is worth all the sleeplessness, and eye bags, and cups of tea I’ve downed since I’ve sat down, and the slight mental deterioration. Sometimes you just have to step back and realize these things. It makes the things that make you sad seem a little less insignificant, because chances are, they are actually quite insignificant.

I hope you all have a good night’s rest. Tomorrow is a new day.
