Outtakes.
Because I’m back on that whole photography thing (making faces as always), this time with a partner.
Check us out: here
While you’re reading this, I’m currently at an engagement party feeling really awkward because it seems like everyone else around me is getting engaged, married or having kids. All of which are things not on my to-do list (yet). I will also be most likely catching up with people I don’t see very often, where they will most likely ask me the same usual questions:
- (After some banshee-like shrieking) “So how have you been?!”
- “What are you doing now?”
- “Oh you’re still at school?”
- “What are you taking again?”
- And my favourite one (because my answer is ALWAYS the same): “Are you seeing anyone? Married? Kids? Why?”
Originally, I wasn’t going to go but since my social life is on the sad end of things and in dire need of a jump start, I figured I’d drag my lazy butt and actually interact with human beings. Plus, I don’t wanna miss the cheesy speeches, amusing small talks, and watch other judgmental individuals silently criticize everyone else in the room (that’s right, I can see your squinting judgmental stares, you dicks).
Anyway, I’m not a leather jacket type of person but instead, a jean jacket type of guy. I’ve had this since I was in grade 10 and it’s served me very well even after all these years. I realize it’s cold out, but hey, it is never too cold to wear jean jackets.

Obligatory wiwt, first-day-back-in-Canada, bathroom-shot-at-grandparents’-house photo.
I’m currently sporting a pretty popular look: it’s called tired and jet lagged. I apologize.

So instead of studying and getting work done, I’m editting photos…
Anyway, I spent a good part of my evening going through my dad’s old button up shirts and trying them on yesterday. Pretty happy about the ones I decided to steal from him (I actually asked if I could have them and he looked at me like I was asking if I could go knock someone up).
Because there was a presentation in the afternoon for a potential employer today, I had to dress it up a little bit. I ended up wearing the outfit from the middle photo. It was a good presentation, and I got to talk with the guy. I also learned that I could possibly have three titles behind my name before I graduate, so that got me pretty stoked.
And yes, I know I sometimes look like a little boy. And I make weird faces all the time. And I like recycling clothes.
Okay, I’ll go study now.

Hi my name is Eish and today was my Monday. But if there is one thing I learned about keeping up appearances: you never show how tired or under-the-weather you feel by the way you dress. (Sort of like a fake it, til you make it deal)
I laid around until 10 AM, missed my first class because of said laying around, realized it was a two hour class, stuffed everything in bag, put on the first shirt and pants I could find, tried to save a half-assed outfit with a belt and a couple of bracelets, and made my way to school. I’m not sure how, but I made it in time for the second hour of the class. Then proceeded to eat for the rest of the day - not recalling anything because everything sort of blurred together.
Whatever. Today’s just an off day. Tomorrow’s another chance to make things work out.

Hi my name is Eish, and I feel like a grown up.
Today was Day 1 of a conference I had to attend. There were lots of potential employers so I had to make sure that I looked decent and presentable. Tomorrow is Day 2: a complete day that starts from 830 and goes until 6 PM. And yes, I have to be there all day, but at least I get to meet (and hopefully talk with) a couple of pretty big and important people.
I’m really hoping that I leave a good impression and not stutter so much or trip over my words like I usually do. Or trip over anything in general; I’m graceful like that.
